Back in balance from within
Treatments at Wildenberg Osteopathy
At Wildenberg Osteopathie in Amsterdam and Volendam, you can come to me for personal and targeted osteopathic treatments. I treat back and neck complaints, headaches, abdominal complaints, sports injuries, and stress-related issues, among others. During every treatment, I view the body as a whole and focus on finding the underlying cause of your complaint. In this way, we work together towards sustainable recovery, greater freedom of movement, and a body that functions smoothly and in balance once again.
Back and neck complaints
Back and neck complaints usually develop gradually and rarely have a single clear cause. Prolonged sitting, repetitive strain, stress, or limitations in other parts of the body can all contribute to the development of pain and stiffness.
During the examination, I look not only at the spine but also at the interplay between muscles, joints, and connective tissue. Additionally, I take breathing and the mobility of the organs into account, as these can influence tension in the back and neck region. By approaching the body as a whole, I work towards a lasting reduction of symptoms.

Headache and jaw complaints
Headaches and jaw complaints can have various causes. Tension in the neck and shoulders, strain on the jaw, teeth grinding, or increased irritability of the nervous system often play a role.
During the treatment, I pay attention to the neck, the skull, the jaw, and the surrounding tissues. By treating these structures in conjunction, more relaxation and space can be created. This can contribute to reducing recurring headaches and tension-related complaints.
Stomach and digestive complaints
Digestive complaints can manifest as bloating, constipation, stomach problems, or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Stress, previous surgeries, adhesions, or reduced motility of the abdominal organs can play a role in this.
Within osteopathy, I investigate how organs, nerves, connective tissue, and posture influence each other. By improving the mobility and blood circulation of the abdominal area, I support the natural function of the digestive system.

Stress and tension complaints
Prolonged stress can manifest in the body in various ways, such as fatigue, muscle pain, headaches, abdominal complaints, or shallow breathing. The nervous system and hormonal balance can also become disrupted.
In the treatment, I focus on reducing physical tension and restoring calm to the system. By giving the body more relaxation and freedom of movement, the natural healing process is given space again.
Sports injuries
Sports injuries often result from overuse, an incorrect movement, a previous injury, or reduced mobility elsewhere in the body. Examples include knee problems in runners, shoulder problems in strength athletes, or recurring ankle and hamstring issues.
When treating sports injuries, I look beyond just the painful area. I examine how joints, muscles, and fascia work together and whether there are any compensatory mechanisms present in the body. By correcting this imbalance, I not only aid in the recovery from the injury but also work preventively to reduce the risk of recurring complaints. This allows you to move and play sports responsibly and with confidence again.
